David R. Hinton, CPA
David began his financial career with a Pasadena-based CPA firm in
1975 and eventually went on to become, in 1982,
chief operating officer for an international engineering
consulting firm. David returned to public accounting
in 1988 with the opening of his own firm, which
he later merged into Hinton, Kreditor and Gronroos.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants and the California Society of
Certified Public Accountants and has served as
a past board member and current chairman of the
audit committee for the Arthritis Foundation. David
received his bachelor's degree in 1975 from California
State University, Los Angeles.
Garrett P. Kreditor, CPA – 1965 to 2007
Garrett Paul Kreditor, a founding partner of Hinton,
Kreditor & Gronroos, LLP, passed away on July 3, 2007. In a career
that spanned more than 15 years, Garrett's experience
included being a consultant with two Big Eight
firms. In those positions, he honed his expertise
in auditing and international tax practice with
a focus on outbound global transactions. Garrett
followed his entrepreneurial calling and opened
his own tax and accounting services firm in 1993,
which he later merged into Hinton, Kreditor
and Gronroos. His broad expertise included real
estate and construction, manufacturing, and hospitality.
He was a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants and the California
Society of Certified Public Accountants. Garrett
also dedicated time to the community as a member of
the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association,
Pasadena Optimist, Foothill Family Services board member, La Canada
Educational Foundation, and the Palm Crest PTA
Board. Garrett received his bachelor's degree
in accounting from the University of Southern
California in 1987.
Eric A. Gronroos, CPA, MBT
With more than 20 years of experience, Eric began his career with Ernst & Young
in Los Angeles where he developed broad skills
in tax consultation, manufacturing, distribution
and corporate reorganization. He later founded
his own accounting practice that he merged to create
Hinton, Kreditor and Gronroos. Eric continues to
specialize in tax consulting, compensation and
estate planning. Additionally, he provides tax
consulting and representation to businesses and
other accounting firms in IRS audit disputes. He
frequently speaks at educational seminars and other industry events;
and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Eric has
a master's of business taxation degree from the University of Southern
California (1991) and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University
of Santa Barbara (1985).
Fred T. Arjani, CPA
Fred's more than 16 years of experience includes operating his own accounting firm and consulting to businesses ranging in size from $2 million to over $600 million in sales. He has a strong specialization in manufacturing, apparel, non-profit and real estate. Fred is also a prominent consultant to attorneys on accounting litigation issues and an expert accounting witness. Fred has also developed a niche helping his clients set-up captive insurance corporations. He is a graduate of California State University, Northridge and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Fred is licensed in both California and Hawaii.
Jorge R. Fernandez, CPA
Jorge has been in practice for over 20 years and is a former partner
of as Santa Monica based accounting firm. During his last seven years
there, he was in charge of the firm's quality control as well as personnel.
He has a strong background dealing with the unique accounting and tax
issues associated with family owned businesses. Jorge also represents
high-net worth individuals, manufacturing companies and real estate
entities.
He values and enjoys the personal relationships that he has
with his clients. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Jorge has a bachelor's degree in accounting from California State University
Northridge (1986).
Ann Marie Flaherty, CPA
With more than 20 years of accounting experience, Ann Marie has a strong
background in auditing and tax services. Her major clients have included
aerospace manufacturers, real estate management and development firms,
medical laboratories, professional service businesses and high-net worth
individuals.
Ann Marie is active in Pasadena rotary and also
serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Villa Esperanza
Services.
Jeffrey R Chase, CPA
Jeffrey Chase has over 29 years of experience which includes twenty-two years of public accounting, twelve in a partner position. Clients serviced in public accounting include those in the finance, distribution, oil & gas, not-for-profit, entertainment and construction industries. Most recently, he has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of a publicly traded financial with over $1.7 billion in assets, with responsibility for all financial reporting to the Board of Directors and Securities & Exchange Commission filings. He has substantial experience in accounting and financial institution operations, Securities & Exchange Commission filings, strategic planning, complex business and tax issues, Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and monitoring, cash flow analysis, budget development and implementation, and regulatory compliance filings. Mr. Chase started his career with Grant Thornton LLP (Dallas office) and graduated from Abilene Christian University with a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1980.
David W. Riley, CPA, JD
With some 25 years of experience, David has significant expertise in
tax consulting for both mid-sized companies and
high-net worth individuals. As an accountant and lawyer, David has developed
a tax practice focused on the needs of business entrepreneurs including
high-level tax structure and estate planning and entity and trust formations.
He
is a member of LA County Bar Association and the California Society
of Certified Public Accountants. David earned a Bachelor of Science
in economics in 1978 at University of California, Los Angeles, and his
J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1982.
